Doppler Effect: sound waves from a moving vehicle1970-01-01T00:00:00+00:00Doppler Effect: sound waves emitted from a moving vehicle. This animation shows why the engine sound of a passing car is high when it approaches you and drops as it goes past. The sound waves are represented by pale yellow expanding circular wave front...PT6Shttps://d3e1m60ptf1oym.cloudfront.net/50319790-af87-4457-b809-5b23d97f9696/DOPPLER-Car-FHD-Russell-Kightley_xlarge.jpghttps://d3e1m60ptf1oym.cloudfront.net/50319790-af87-4457-b809-5b23d97f9696/DOPPLER-Car-FHD-Russell-Kightley_mp4_hd_video.mp4https://www.scientific.pictures/-/galleries/physics/-/medias/50319790-af87-4457-b809-5b23d97f9696/pricehttps://www.scientific.pictures/-/galleries/physics/-/medias/50319790-af87-4457-b809-5b23d97f9696/price
Doppler Effect: Bow Wave
Doppler Effect: waves emitted from a moving source. Source travelling faster than the waves propagate. Animation shows how a bow wave propagates from a ship. The ship pushes the water immediately in front and creates a wave (shown as a series of separate expanding rings for clarity). The wave fronts are shown propagating from their points of origin along the cruise path. As the ship sails forward, so the resulting waves create a swept back triangular expanding wave front (the bow wave).

Doppler Effect Abstract1970-01-01T00:00:00+00:00Doppler Effect: this animation shows how the apparent increase in frequency observed in waves emitted from an approaching source (or conversely a decrease in frequency in waves emitted from a receding source) happens.
