Gas: Pressure Volume1970-01-01T00:00:00+00:00GAS PRESSURE DROPS AS VOLUME INCREASES: when the volume of a gas increases the particles become more spread out. A given area of the container therefore experiences fewer collisions and therefore a lower force. Effectively, the pressure drops as the vo...PT12Shttps://d3e1m60ptf1oym.cloudfront.net/674b320e-619c-4d34-82e4-d7253225d6fe/GAS-VOLUME-animation-FHD-Russell-Kightley_xlarge.jpghttps://d3e1m60ptf1oym.cloudfront.net/674b320e-619c-4d34-82e4-d7253225d6fe/GAS-VOLUME-animation-FHD-Russell-Kightley_mp4_hd_video.mp4https://www.scientific.pictures/-/galleries/physics/-/medias/674b320e-619c-4d34-82e4-d7253225d6fe/pricehttps://www.scientific.pictures/-/galleries/physics/-/medias/674b320e-619c-4d34-82e4-d7253225d6fe/price
EFFUSION
EFFUSION: when a gas migrates to a vacuum. The animation shows two compartments separated by a barrier. The barrier has a small hole. Gas is introduced into the left compartment and the particles bounce around. Some particles will escape from the left compartment, through the hole, and into the right compartment. There will be a net flow from the left compartment to the right compartment until the concentration is the same in both compartments. In a similar case, two separate species are allowed to mix (see animation of diffusion)

DIFFUSION1970-01-01T00:00:00+00:00DIFFUSION: when a gas (or other substances in solution) migrates by virtue of the inherent movement of its particles. This means that there is a net particulate flow from regions of high concentration to regions of low concentration.
