Green Rays Varying Concave Lens

Concave lens, showing the divergence of light rays. Diverging lenses have a virtual focus and make objects look smaller. Concave lenses diverge (spread apart) incoming light rays. If these rays are traced backward these imaginary lines converge to a point or virtual focus behind the lens. This is in contrast to convex (or converging lenses) which bring rays together in front of the lens to a real focus.

CORNER CUBE Square Sides1970-01-01T00:00:00+00:00Elastic balls are fired at a corner cube (three plane reflectors all at 90 degrees to each other). Each surface bounces the balls back in one axis. When the balls bounce off all three surfaces they travel back parallel to their original course.
