Qualia’s Christmas

Qualia’s Christmas: a semi-abstract digital painting of a Christmas tree with a roiling sky and seething forest. There are demons and birds and angelic flying forms. Pagan faces and masks stare out from the dense undergrowth, and coiling plants overrun the scene. It is hectic and hot and detailed and tries to capture the childhood thrill of Christmas, but with an underlying primal darkness.

Qualia are conscious experiences (qualities), such as the blueness of the colour blue. The artwork was inspired by my novella "Yesterday Makers".
